The Goddard School of Urbana (Carriage Hill) is seeking a caring, energetic, and dedicated educator to join our outstanding Pre-K program as a Universal Pre-K Grant Teacher.

This position will begin June 5, 2026, and will transition into a Universal Pre-K Grant Lead Teacher role for the 2026–2027 school year.

Compensation Details (Please Read Carefully)

  • Summer Pay (June–August 2026):
Compensation during the summer session will follow our summer pay scale, which differs from the UPK school-year salary structure.

  • School-Year Salary (2026–2027 UPK Grant Role):
Starting at $60,000 (UPK Grant-funded position; school year only)

This position offers a strong earning opportunity during the academic year, with a clearly defined transition from summer employment to the grant-funded school-year role.

About the Role

We are looking for an educator who is passionate about early childhood education and committed to delivering high-quality, play-based learning experiences that prepare children for success in kindergarten.

Qualifications

  • 90-Hour Preschool Certification (Required)
  • Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
  • Degree in Education or Early Childhood Education (Preferred)
  • Experience in a Pre-K classroom setting (Preferred)
Responsibilities

  • Create and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate lesson plans
  • Foster children’s social, emotional, cognitive, and academic growth through play-based learning
  • Build a culture of excellence in a structured, nurturing classroom environment
  • Demonstrate strong classroom management skills
  • Maintain a safe, healthy, and engaging learning space
  • Collaborate with leadership and fellow educators
  • Build positive relationships and communicate effectively with families
